Unvote
Unvoting allows users to withdraw their delegated votes from validators at any time.
Unvoting is instantaneous and gives users full flexibility to adjust their voting strategy based on validator performance, ranking, or commission.
Unvoting Process
Follow these steps to remove your votes from a validator:
- Visit the Voting Dashboard – Navigate to overlap.fi/validators.
- Select Validator – Choose the validator you wish to unvote.
- Initiate Unvote – Click the Unvote button next to their profile.
- Confirm Transaction – Approve the unvote action.
- Completion – Your votes are immediately released and the funds transfered to your account.
Unvoting releases the staked balance in full along with accrued rewards accumulated through your balance via the Lido integration. Head over to overlap.fi/info to track the 30-day APY average.
Considerations
- Immediate Effect – Unvoting updates validator rankings and eligibility instantly.
- Strategic Flexibility – Voting power is fully recoverable and can be redelegated at any time.
- Voting Strategy – Regularly review validator performance to maximize rewards and support reliable participants.
Unvoting does not affect rewards already earned from tasks your validator completed while your vote was active.
Released votes can be reallocated to other validators to optimize your expected rewards and maintain influence over validator rankings.
